Multi Media Admissions Specialist

LOCATION: ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓÆµ Baptist University (WBU) – Plainview Campus

POSITION CLASSIFICATION:  Non-exempt

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:  The Multi Media Admissions Specialist will be responsible for the creation of various forms of media for and in relation to the Office of Admission for the purpose of recruitment. This position will exhibit superior customer service and communication skills as well as professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with students, parents, and other WBU employees including phone calls, emails, text messages, and information sessions held both virtually and in-person. 

SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES: 

  1. At all times conducts him/herself with integrity and honesty and in a manner consistent with the mission of the university
  2. Focuses primarily on the Plainview campus recruitment.
  3. Create various digital and print materials for the purpose of ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓÆµ promotion and recruitment
  4. Create videos and reels to use on various platforms, in presentations, etc.
  5. Website design, edits and updates.
  6. Design and create backdrops and photo opportunities for positive consumer experience for ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓÆµ promotion.
  7. Work in conjunction with the Plainview Marketing Department
  8. Attend and assist with all Office of Admission events and functions as needed.
  9. Attend Admission, Student Activities, and other ÁÔÆæÖØ¿ÚÊÓÆµ events to gather footage and pictures for future videos, designs, and other media creations.
  10. Attend regular training/professional development activities.
  11. Conduct market research to remain relevant and stay on top of current trends to attract incoming student attention.
  12. Maintain and research relevant equipment required for media creation.
  13. Create, implement, and carryout a social media calendar and plan for the Office of Admission Instagram and coordinate with other offices for social media collaborations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree required

Experience and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of college programs, majors, admissions requirements and processes, and scholarship and financial aid resources.
  • Strong writing skills, time management skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with prospective students and parents.
  • Ability to plan and implement social media posts and campaigns.
  • Knowledge of relevant design platforms as well as picture and video editing software.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance.   If hired, the prospective employee must present documentation within three (3) days of hire date to establish identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).  Employee must be able and willing to travel and provide recruitment assistance to external campuses.  Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license.  Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.
