In-house Producer/ Livestream Coordinator

POSITION CLASSIFICATION: Exempt (11-month position) July 1 - May 31

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: The In-house Producer/Livestream Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Media Arts program through producing recorded and livestreamed content related to academic programs, university functions and events, and athletic events. The individual in this position will work closely with the Assistant Professor of Media Production, the Harral Auditorium Supervisor, and other campus offices to envision, create, and distribute content to multiple platforms (digital broadcasting, social media, etc.). This individual will also recruit, train, and supervise student workers to assist in all aspects of the production process.
SPECIFIC TASKS AND DUTIES:
- Produce and distribute digital content related to academic programs, university functions (e.g., chapel, professional development, graduation), and athletics.
- Coordinate, and as needed complete, the livestreaming of university events, including but not limited to weekly chapel, annual professional development, and major sporting events.
- Assist with the hiring, scheduling, and supervision of student employees within the Media Arts program.
- Assist with or complete livestreaming in person as necessary.
- Annually prepare academic-year livestream schedule in cooperation with Asst. Prof. of Media Production, academic deans, VPAA, Athletics, and other institutional offices.
- Shoot and edit visual content (photo and video) for a wide range of projects related to the Media Arts program, such as in-house programming, sports broadcasting, media ministry, and academic marketing.
- As a WBU employee, represent the university’s academic and spiritual emphasis to the students, faculty, staff, and the community in a manner consistent with the University’s mission and purpose.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate’s Degree in related or applicable field, as well as experience with livestreaming, shooting, and editing visual productions.
- Bachelor’s degree or willingness to complete bachelor’s degree preferred.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Employment is subject to an introductory period to monitor employee performance. If hired, the prospective employee must present documentation within three (3) days of hire date to establish their identity and employment eligibility as required by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Employee must be able and willing to travel and teach at external campuses. Must be able to operate a licensed motor vehicle, have access to a dependable motor vehicle, and possess a valid state driver’s license. Must have and maintain a satisfactory driver’s record.
