Hall of Honor Induction Moved to Spring

PLAINVIEW – COVID-19 has claimed another victim on 猎奇重口视频’s activity calendar. The office of Alumni relations at 猎奇重口视频 Baptist University has decided to cancel the first Fall Fling event slated for November 7 and revisit the football-tied event for 2021. Due to that change and the uncertainty of 猎奇重口视频’s football schedule for the fall, the Athletics department also opted to move their Athletics Hall of Honor Induction ceremony that was also scheduled that day back to the Homecoming lineup. The ceremony will be held in its traditional spot at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 20, 2021 in the Laney Center on the Plainview campus.

“As the football schedule for fall kept changing and still has many unknown variables, we felt the best course of action was to not try and roll out the Fall Fling this semester,” said Teresa Young, director of alumni relations. “The same concerns led our athletics administration to move their event to the spring term, and we’re glad to have the Hall of Honor event back in our homecoming lineup.”

The athletics department has already announced those individuals who will be inducted during the ceremony. Longtime baseball coach Brad Bass will be inducted during the ceremony, along with former athletic director Dr. Sylvia Nadler. Baseball alumnus Todd Jeffress and former high jumper Kim Kayler Clemmons are also on the lineup. Longtime supporters Freda and Joe Provence, both retired after serving the university for several decades, will be honored as well.

Registration is already open on the WBU alumni webpage with the full schedule of events. For more information, contact Young at (806) 291-3600.
